1963 Guyatone SG-M02 Musician G and G Gold Foil Bridge Pickup (SOLD)

Fantastic sounding rare vintage gold foil pickup, 2 of 2 I’m selling. On the SG-M02, unlike on the SG-12 which has a taller bridge pickup, both pickups are the same size and basically the same except for minor resistance differences. It comes with the original screws and plastic gasket for the body. All original down to the orange piece of plastic that goes around the fake pole screws. It is in excellent shape for possibly being around 60 years old.

This bridge pickup has no gold foil coating left on it so I lowered the price a little on this one. It’s all decorative, so it only affects the looks and not the tone! It has scratches and some slight pitting, as can be expected for something this old. What you see is what you get. It has been taken apart, cleaned, polished completely, and tested. I think the Guyatone guitar that these came out of is from 1963, judging from a catalog clipping and the serial number stamped inside the body behind the control plate.

  • 6.198k measured resistance at a temperature of 71 degrees Fahrenheit in the room.
  • The wiring lead is roughly 9 inches long in length.
  • The height or thickness of the pickup is roughly .40-.41, the width is 1.45″ and the length is 3.15″.
