Another Guyatone MIJ gem! Here is a nice FTS-1 tube amp simulator from 1990 (The power cable has a 1990 date stamp). It has a real 12ax7 inside it. I think it sounds great. It has a wide range from mild all the way to wild and gnarly distortion when the gain is cranked up. I have cleaned the whole exterior of the unit as well as the jack contact points. The pots were all sprayed and cleaned with DE-Oxit to prevent any scratchiness when turning them. This one worked perfectly fine when I got it, so I just went through the normal maintenance motions I do anyway. It’s in excellent shape. As this effect runs on 100v and didn’t have the option to rewire the transformer inside, I’m including a new 120v to 100v adapter to make sure it is used at the proper voltage.
