It came in to the shop needing just a detailed cleaning and tightening of the chicken head knobs. Wish they were all this easy! This is the made for Japan version of the FR3000V. I’m not sure if there are differences in the tone/reverb circuit, but I do know this one comes with 2 12AX7WA and a 6v6GT tubes originally. Unlike the 5751(12AX7), 12AT7WC, and 6K6GT that came in the made for North America version. Also this one is meant to run on 100v vs the 120v North American one. I will include a small plug in transformer with this reverb unit so you can safely run it at 100v. It sounds great and isn’t noisy. It can get to surfy spring reverb and more pretty easily. So I like it best with the input vol and reverb vol turned down for a nice seamless background reverb. It comes with a made in America 4AB3C1B ACCUTRONICS reverb tank as standard. I’ve detailed the unit completely and sprayed the pots with DE-Oxit to make sure all is good to go. I cleaned all the jacks as well.
Below is some info from the Guyatone Japanese website from 2005.
Features: The vintage tube reverb box has been reborn, inheriting the tradition of its sound character and eliminating the excessive noise that was a bottleneck! It uses a large (Hammond) reverb unit and power tube (6V6GT) made by ACCUTRONICS. It reproduces the sound unique to spring reverb. You can enjoy various changes, from sweet and deep long reverb to twang reverb and distorted lo-fi reverb. It supports a wide range of inputs from line to PA. It can also be used as a recording effect.
